Semester 2 start...NOW

Dear Learning Coaches,

Semester 2 Begins TODAY. Let's get on to a good start by making sure your student completes each subject each day. Although Science and Art tend to alternate, remember there is Language Arts, Math, and History EVERY DAY. Please don't spend too long any one subject. After about 45-60 minutes, move on to another subject. This will help keep your student engaged in the learning.

Class Connect sessions will resume on Monday, 2/6 with Homeroom, but your student will begin work in the OLS today.

No matter where you are in the curriculum we will all be starting on the same unit for Literature, Science, and History. If you are behind, you can try and catch up by doing one extra lesson a day, but it is not the priority. When students are keeping pace, then our class time is more productive and students are more motivated when they see they are making progress. Each of you will receive an Individual Learning Plan, but until then, please start on the following Units today, while the rest of the subjects such as Math, just continue where you left off in semester 1:

• History Unit 8: A New Nation

• Science Unit 5: Chemistry
